Sports Podiatry

What Is Sports Podiatry

Sports Podiatry is a branch of healthcare devoted to the assessment, treatment and management of injuries to the foot, ankle and lower limb.

Sports podiatrists deal with the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of sports conditions from all sports including:

  • Football

  • Track and field athletics

  • Basketball

  • Netball

  • Tennis

  • Running

  • Walking

  • Soccer

  • Hockey

Podiatrists are the foot and ankle specialists.

In a typical consult we will ask you questions regarding your lifestyle and activity levels, look at your foot/ankle/leg range of motion, strength, walking and, if need be, running gait. We may need to refer for ultrasound or x-ray (bulk billing available). Make sure you bring in shoes that you wear for work, casually and sport.

We focus on thorough assessment, diagnosis and cutting edge treatment to allow you to perform at your peak.
